The parts of this project that I have performed fully were figuring out that teens have decreased their focus in school. The parts of this project that were difficult were collecting the data, and displaying it correctly. If i could change the way I did this project I would focus more on what things changed the way that teens look at school, like family life, school life, and social life.
The way this project has affected the way I look at things between now and then, has more or less been the technology, and how much that really affects us now. Things I learned about teen experience were that focus in school has significantly changed, and life has also improved for education.

Further research:
Other reseach follow up questions that could be followed by this project are:
What changes the way teens look at school now?
How could teens be more focused in school than in the 80's?
and,
What were the main distractions of teens throughout the centuries?
Social Change:
The social change that has occurred in this time period (between the 80's and now) has been significant. Technology has become much more 1st priority to teens than school. In the 80's there weren't as many technological distractions as there are now, but there were more distractions about how the world could be put together fully, as they were going through a lot of change in the world.

The conclusion I made about Teen Life in the 80's was that teens were more focused on school than they are now. Another Question that connects to this topic is:
What were teens in the 80's more focused on compared to the ones now?
Back then, teens had things to do, like boy's being taught how to raise a family and get good jobs, and girls being taught how to cook and clean. Over time that has changed because now teens are being taught more or the educational side of things and not as much of having a stable family and house life.
So this leads me to think that even though teens back then were learning other things, teens these days are influenced a lot more by technology. Teens now think they can have the easy way out of things and technology can just live live for them.

The source I used, was a book called Twentieth Century by the Decades. I used this because it was the best source I could find and there was a lot of good information and data. I discovered that teens in that time were very focused on money, and not as much on other things.
YAY, the end....
YAY, the end....

The question that I am investigating my topic with, is: Do you think your parents cared more about school in the 80's than you do now? Im asking this question because I think that teens now, don't care enough about school. I am also interested in the things that affect the way teens look at school, like drugs, drinking, sex, parent relationships, and how that has increased or decreased over time.

My topic is teen life in the 80's. I don't know anything about this topic, that is why I am researching it. I hope to learn everything that i can about it... I am interested in this topic because I find life in 2010 to be extremely boring and things back then seemed to be more interesting.
